Plausible.io - An alternative to Google Analytics
paul's note: I should throw it out there that I am not in any way partnered with Plausible.io, I do not get any kickback or affiliate payment if you use them, and I don't get free hoodies or t-shirts, or even free service. I'm posting this because I like their service and think you should take a looky at it.
If you've run a website or two in the last decade or so, you're probably familiar with Google Analytics. GA (Google Analytics) is a pretty rad tool, but it's kinda overkill for what most of us are looking for. I mean, at the end of the day small website admins generally only care about the things you'll see on your GA dashboard. Geolocation stats, page views, breakdown by page, author, etc. You get the idea; most of what GA provides isn't really for us... it's for Google. You know the rule, if the product or service is free, YOU are the product.
So what else is out there that isn't tied to Google, or Meta, or any of the other giant advertising/information firms? I've been using Plausible.io and am pretty impressed. Impressed enough to even pay for it, though I'm on the cheapest plan.
